A Prayer For The Maui Wildfire Victims In light of the unimaginable horrors the people and their animals faced, let us pray for the victims of the most devastating wildfire in US history.  This has got to be one of the most difficult times in modern history for the islands, and the loss of life is simply stunning. But Jesus is here now and always to give sanctuary and mercy to those who have been affected.  Lord Jesus, Please bless the people and the animals who have perished in the fires that have overtaken them.  Please welcome them into your kingdom with open arms, free from pain and suffering.  Please offer peace and mercy to their surviving family members, and give them hope to live on in honor of their loved ones. Please share Your heavenly light with all to help us feel your presence in this trying time. In Your Holy name Jesus, Amen

How A Positive Attitude Can Help You Succeed My wife Tina was once given this double sided card by a restaurant owner she was friends with. It got a little worn in the years since but I thought it was nice to share. This is a great mantra for those who are struggling or a reminder for those who lose sight while trying to achieve their goals. Keep God and Jesus in your thoughts and prayers, but also realize how much your attitude contributes to your own success.

Text2God Religious Self-Help Application  Greetings and Happy New Year! I didn't expect to release my religious self-help application in this way, but I've been sitting on my 1.0 build for Text2God for quite some time, and when changes in my life came up, this project took a backseat. While I am still trying to figure out a way to integrate this application into the text box of its application page, I decided to stop waiting and to just release it as a downloadable executable file.  This of course has its limitations, as it would have to be downloaded and with its current state it's only available to be experienced on desktop pcs. Yes, I would prefer this to be experienced on the website itself by any device that has browser access, but until I can find a way, this will unfortunately have to be the way.  Maybe God will give me some guidance, or a kind soul could help me deploy it. God Can Work Through You, And Helping Others Helps You Time for a little story. I’m not really a superstitious person but I feel like my actions were a message to the universe and God that I want to help people in a more meaningful way, which partially led to my selection with my new employer.  About 3 weeks ago I was doing one of my string of 5 different routes in my career position at the USPS. I work in downtown Waterbury mostly. I have come across people who are living well and people who are struggling in this city. On Bank street there is a homeless man I’ve come to know who’s always on the same street corner. A very nice and courteous guy. I always said hi to him. Text2God Religious Self-Help Application Deployment  Yes, I missed my deadline by four or five months now. As I pushed hard and fast with compiling and testing the Text2God App, other priorities drew into focus and life got in the way as life is wont to do.  However, I am determined to get this build in its current state out to the masses. What is continued coding and testing good for if I find out that I can’t even fully release this application on this site in the way that I originally intended?  I am researching my options and I hope to release this now before year’s end. Please bear with me as this is a small passion project of mine. Thanks for listening, or reading. 

Extremism Can Only Be Fought With Love Lord Jesus, we pray for those who have met violent ends in these United States and abroad to the extremism and hatred of those who perpetrate mass shootings. Please bless the victims, the survivors, and their families as they grieve the horrors of this evil. Please allow them to see Your grace and love and kindness in the days to come. Any life lost to evil is an unthinkable crime. Please bless these families with unfailing love.   Even still, we pray that those who have had their hearts, minds, and souls, poisoned by this evil and violent rhetoric learn the true ways of God and love, and that evil doesn’t beget evil. Text2God Application Final Build As I am nearing the end of my coding journey for my 1.0 build of the Text2God application, I would like to update you with my updated timetable.  I will probably be releasing this application for use on any Windows and Mac desktop environment by the end of this month of May. The 1.0 release will contain hundreds of unique responses for those who want to make specific prayers or ask any particular spiritual or philosophical questions. As a resource, it will provide a wide variety of help resources or help line phone numbers for a number of sensitive topics. Finally, this application will continue to be worked on beyond its initial release, and I will be adding additional keyword phrases and responses so that users have the richest and most helpful experience using it.  I look forward to presenting to you the world’s first-of-its-kind Text2God application! Text2God Application Developer Blog As I’ve been nearing the full 1.0 release of my Text2God application, I have reached a fork in the road in terms of how to best deploy and host this application.  Ideally, I would like this text-based interface to host natively on this website with computing taking place on the server-side. However, to make that work with my current programming language would require a number of workarounds that might not be compatible with my original vision.  What I can offer though in the interim while I try to work this out is offer the application’s program file for free for Windows and Mac desktop users once I am confident in my 1.0 build. This way, users can download and execute Text2God on the client-side.  I plan to make my application a free resource to all who would like to use it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it! Stay tuned for my target release in the first half of May 2022!
